Way for Nothing was born in 2015 in Tarbes, France and consists of 6 members.
Our music, exclusively instrumental, blends influences from post-rock, metal,
progressive rock and certainly many others. The absence of words allows the
listener to complete the sound experience by contributing his or her own
sensibility.
During live shows, image and video projections without narration adds extra
visual dimensions. Way for Nothing’s first self-produced album, “Make Your
Actions Reflect Your Words”, was released in November 2020. Through its 13
tracks, both harsh and optimistic, it describes our vision of today’s society,
detestable in many ways but also sprinkled with glimmers of hope.
For the new opus, Way for Nothing changes its point of view. The band is no
longer a spectator of this world, and embraces the contemporary challenges we
face: asserting our individuality while integrating into a collective united in a
common destiny. Loneliness, whether voluntary or involuntary, mutual aid and
the need for renewal are among the themes that will be set to music.
This EP, entitled CENDRE5, was released on December 9th, 2023.
